These are some web sites by angry home owners. They are so dissatisfied with their builder that they developed and maintain a web site to warn others of the problems with "Production Builders". Not to say that a home inspection would have solved all their problems, but some of the issues they faced could have been caught early in the construction (when it wasn't caught by the city inspectors). There are also some links to consumer groups that are urging legislators to regulate Home Builders and the Construction Industry.
In Texas, you need a license to cut someone's hair or do their nails, but you don't need a license to build or remodel their house!
